The Problem

The lumps were the problem

Cottage cheese has always had a protein-per-scoop advantage that nothing else in the fridge could match. The problem was never the nutrition — it was the texture. Curds that clump in a blender. Batter that turns grainy. A dip nobody wants to admit is cottage cheese.

So we started whipping it — not just blending it, but working it until every curd disappeared and what was left was completely smooth. That became the whole idea behind Smooth Cottage.

The Idea

One base, two products

Once the texture was right, we realized it could do two jobs. Plain, it became Smooth Base — an ingredient built for cooking and baking, made to disappear into whatever you're making.

Flavored and put in an 8oz squeeze bottle, it became the Squeeze Line — a condiment you reach for instead of a snack you have to plan around. Same whipped cottage cheese, two very different jobs on your counter.

Today

Where we are now

Smooth Cottage is getting ready to bring both products to market: a plain Smooth Base for the kitchen, and a lineup of flavored squeeze bottles for everything else. We're building this brand from the ground up, one recipe test and one taste-test at a time.

If you want to follow along or get notified when we launch, we'd love to have you on the list.

What we care about

A few things that guide every decision we make, from ingredients to bottle design.

🥛

Real Ingredients

We start with real cottage cheese and keep the ingredient list short and honest.

🌾

Texture First

Whipped smooth isn't a marketing word for us — it's the whole point of the product.

Made to Be Used

Everything we make is designed to earn a permanent spot in your fridge, not a one-time try.

"We wanted a cottage cheese you'd reach for without thinking twice — smooth enough to cook with, and easy enough to squeeze onto dinner."
